The person behind Fieldproven

Andy Goldschmidt

For most of his career he has been pulled toward the same corner of the business, the place where performance marketing meets data, and he has spent more than a decade in it, from both sides of the table: first on the vendor side building data and attribution tools for marketing teams, then in-house running a marketing-data team of his own. Fieldproven is what grew out of that. After years of seeing the same problems up close, company after company, and building the answers himself, he decided to do that work on his own terms. The name says the rest: everything here was proven in the field first.

A decade where performance marketing meets data.

The overlap of performance marketing and data is messy, valuable ground, where campaigns, numbers, and decisions collide. Andy has spent his career there. Most recently he led marketing intelligence at a private university, building the analytics function into an AI-first team: he put AI on the analytical work that used to eat the week, so people were freed for the parts that actually needed them.

He experienced it firsthand. That's where the hard parts show up: what breaks, what's tougher than the slides admit, and what makes AI useful inside a team rather than impressive in a demo.

Why Fieldproven

A translator between two worlds.

The same gap kept showing up. Marketing teams know what they need; data teams know what's possible; and almost nowhere is there someone whose job is to translate between the two, to turn AI ambition into something that actually runs, and that a team can keep running without help.

Fieldproven exists to be that translator. The capability gets built with the team and handed over, not delivered as a strategy deck or a black box only its maker understands.

What he believes
Practice over theory
Credibility comes from having done it.
Build, don't just advise
The recommendation and the working thing that proves it should arrive together.
Independence over dependence
Good work leaves a team more capable, not more reliant.
Narrow on purpose
Deep on data and decisions, the rest referred out.
